Abstract
Type-I collagen is found in numerous parts of the human body. This research has been focused on the macrostructures of type-I collagen and its implications on the physical properties of certain tissues. Furthermore, the self-assembly of the three α chains into the collagen triple helix has been studied in order to understand the biochemical pathway in which type-I collagen is produced.
