Abstract
As defense budgets see continued scrutiny for efficiency and governments around the world demand faster development times, the military industrial complex is looking to new ways to meet the needs of the warfighter, specifically the agile project management technique.
This study will evaluate each of the major conflicts between agile development implementation and the expectations of government procurement specific to Fixed Scope, Schedule, and Budget Economic Model. There are several resources available today discussing the AGILE transformation process from a culture or behavioral perspective, but little in the nuts and bolts of project management.
This study will be agnostic to the type of development (hardware, software, etc.) and instead be focused pm providing recommendations for organizations utilizing an agile project management approach in within Fixed Scope, Schedule, and Budget Economic Models.
